Researchers from NYU School of Medicine have recently found that the 'average' person's skin is populated by at least 182 different species of bacteria. And that's just on the forearm.
Using new molecular DNA techniques, the researchers found that the skin was much more diverse than previously thought, with about 8% of the species found being new discoveries.
